Hannah Rock is a bit of a sportswoman, which perhaps comes as no surprise given her sense of determination and commitment.

“In the last 12 months I’ve completed a charity parachute jump; learned to water-ski and wakeboard after many years of watching others and wishing ‘if only’; and I achieved the fastest lap time at Thruxton, where I was in a large group of guys who considered me to be no threat to them at all!” she smiles.

Indeed, risk-taking is something that Hannah has grown to learn the value of in her career as well as in her leisure time – particularly over the past year. “To be successful you do at some point have to take risks, albeit mostly calculated ones,” she affirms, “but whatever they are you must stick by them and have the courage of your convictions.”

Combining this resolve with her other qualities of honesty, integrity and respect – including a belief in never asking anyone to do anything that she would not be prepared to do herself – Hannah has also learned a lot from her business role model.

“The person I admire most is Richard Branson, and two of his statements in particular stick with me each and every day. They are: ‘No question is ever a stupid question, as not everyone will know the answer,’ and ‘Teach people well enough so they can leave, but treat people well enough so they do not want to’.”
