MadaLuxe Group co-founder Adam Freede says business has exploded since the early months of the pandemic, and is in full-throttled expansion mode.
That success, he says, can be attributed to his outstanding team, which have been effective because of the positive working culture he insists on creating at the company.
“In the last 12 months we have grown the workforce by 50% and focused on creating an environment where people love the company and their teammates,” he says.
Growing pains can often accompany this sort of expansion, particularly when soaring demand is creating pinch points.
This is all part of the job, according to Adam.
“The toughest challenge of the past year has been keeping up with the demand of a growing and thriving business,” he shares.
His role is also to plan for any changes in the economy, and be ready to capitalize.
“We have to be diligent and thorough in the face of economic uncertainty — managing and monitoring business growth with expanding demand against the headwinds of economic uncertainty,” he explains.
MadaLuxe Group is North America’s largest distributor of luxury fashion brands like Gucci, Fendi and Versace, and is the licensee for Versace Watches, Versus Versace Watches and Ferragamo Timepieces.
High fashion and luxury businesses have been criticized in the past for taking a high toll on the environment, but MadaLuxe wants to be at the forefront of putting that right.
“We have a unified effort towards sustainability even at the cost of profit, both outwardly towards consumers and inwardly with our own team. The future of fashion is sustainability and MadaLuxe Group must be part of a solution where fashion innovation meets the moral imperative to protect our planet,” Adam insists.
