HIGHLY COMMENDED: Trendsetting Watches of the Year, Meistersinger Salthora Meta

Meistersinger’s debut of the Jumping Hour complication, 2014’s Salthora, proved a harmonious fit with the single-handed German watch brand and created one of the most legible watches in recent years.

This year Meistersinger updated the dial with a sportier sans serif typeface creating the more contemporary Salthora Meta.

The watch was released with a number of different dials including flat white and ivory options, vibrant sunburst polished models, pictured, and a limited edition model with a semi-transparent dial that shows off the jumping hour module working below.

The module was developed by Synergies Horlogères’ master watchmaker Johannes Jahnke and is charged by the minute wheel over the course of a full 60 minutes so as not to deplete the mainspring in sudden increments.
