Doxa stakes its claim in Singapore as it joins The Hour Glass

The pioneering Swiss dive watch specialist Doxa continues its trajectory to global success.

Famed for its ground-breaking dive timepieces, Doxa boasts an extensive legacy spanning over 130 years, drawing insights from diverse corners of the globe and across multiple generations of divers and adventurers.

With a brand name, derived from the Greek term signifying ‘glory’, Doxa has forged a sterling reputation, marked by technical prowess and impassioned design evident in each of its collections.

Setting a paradigm in watchmaking, especially within the realm of diving watches, Doxa made history in 1967 with its purpose-built professional-grade diver’s watch accessible to the general public. Developed in collaboration with the US Divers organisation under the leadership of Commandant Cousteau, it marked the first instance of Doxa’s legendary orange dial on a diving watch.

In 1968, the brand played a pivotal role in co-designing the world’s inaugural diving watch equipped with a helium release valve, further cementing its status as one of the most influential and forward-thinking watchmakers in the industry to date.

Today, Doxa, part of the Walca Group, remains true to the blueprint established by Georges Ducommun in 1889, producing high-quality Swiss watches at affordable prices. The brand’s independent status allows it to swiftly adapt to market changes and focus on creating watches that blend performance, precision, engineering, reliability, functionality, and style at consistently competitive prices.

A staple in many retailer’s collections, Doxa is now making significant strides in expanding its global presence through strategic partnerships. Across the USA, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and India, Doxa is experiencing robust and steady growth in both presence and international distribution. Presently, the brand boasts over 140 points of sale worldwide, collaborating with esteemed local partners in the high-end watchmaking industry.
