Coronavirus forces JCK Las Vegas postponement

Reed Exhibitions plans to reschedule America’s largest jewellery and watch show later in the year.

The last of the world’s largest jewellery and watch shows bowed to the inevitable yesterday as JCK Las Vegas and its companion show Luxury by JCK were postponed.

The event’s organisers, Reed Exhibitions and Reed Jewelry Group, say they are working with stakeholders to find a new date later this year for the event to run.

A statement from the group says it was necessary to postpone as part of its efforts to help contain the spread of Covid-19 Coronavirus.

JCK Las Vegas was scheduled to run June 2 to 5, with Luxury beginning on May 31 and ending on June 5. Both shows were set to take place at the Sands Expo & Convention Center and Venetian Hotel.

“As the global community unites in efforts to curtail Covid-19 coronavirus, every day brings new developments. After careful consideration and comprehensive discussions, we have decided that the JCK and Luxury shows will be postponed to later in the year due to the growing concerns over public health and safety and the escalation of Covid-19.

“As soon as we work out the details for a new date in 2020 for JCK and Luxury, we will immediately share them with all of you. We expect to be able to do so shortly,” a statement from Reed says.
