Bulgari is releasing a 20 piece limited edition of its Serpenti Tubogas that will go on sale next month at a major presentation within London’s Selfridges department store.
The gold and steel watch has been given a guilloché green dial in reference to its history as a jeweller working with precious stones such as emeralds.
“Green matches perfectly with our history. As a Roman jeweller, we’ve always worked with precious stones and more specifically with emeralds,” says Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Director – Bvlgari Watches Design Centre.
The watches will be sold as part of a special residency at Selfridges that runs from July 8 to August 4 that will also include presentations of high jewellery and accessories.
The pop up is being used to launch Bulgari’s 2019 high jewellery collection, Cinemagia, inspired by the world of cinema.
“To launch the new Cinemania concept globally in the UK is an absolute privilege, and we are thrilled to have the prestigious Selfridges Corner Shop location in which to bring it to life,” says Vincenzo Pujia, European managing director at Bulgari.
“The cinema is an incredibly important source of inspiration for Bvlgari as is reflected in our creations, namely the new Cinemagia High Jewellery Collection, launching in June, and Bulgari’s endorsement from stars of the silver screen over the years. This Pop Up celebrates the cinema in original and interactive ways, providing the customer with the ultimate 360-degree brand experience,” he adds.
