Boss Logics seeks to strengthen its position with new senior management appointment

Technology solutions provider, Boss Logics has announced the appointment of Michael Schechter as director of Business Development

Technology solutions provider for the jewellery industry, Boss Logics has announced the appointment of Michael Schechter as director of Business Development.

Bringing two decades of experience within fine jewellery and modern technology, Schechter will focus on account and partner outreach, as well as product strategy development, in his new role.

Schechter has helped brands and retailers to optimise their digital experience to drive both website and omnichannel sales growth.

As an internet presence became a priority for jewellers in the late 1990s, Schechter was instrumental in helping his third-generation family business, Honora, thrive online.

After Honora’s acquisition by the Berkshire Hathaway-owned Richline Group in 2013, Schechter’s role expanded to work across all fine jewellery categories, partnering with some of the largest jewellery retailers in the US.

Founder and CEO of Boss Logics, Zach Lipsky said: “Michael brings a unique industry point of view, and his deep roots in the jewelry industry mean that he literally grew up with the DNA of the industry around him.

“In addition, his creativity and technical background will be the bridge that takes us and our users forward.

More recently, Schechter served as the primary business manager for the Richline Group-owned ecommerce website, Gemvara.

During his time there, Schechter partnered with retailers – like Helzberg Diamonds, Macy’s, and, most recently, the Buffalo-based Reeds Jewelers – to expand Gemvara’s innovative made-to-order ecommerce functionality into an omnichannel experience.

Discussing his appointment, Schechter said: “I’m honored and excited to join Boss Logics in their mission to connect the jewelry industry.
