Zenith has created a 50-piece, boutique-only, El Primero limited edition in partnership with London-based Bamford Watch Department, the brand’s only official customisation partner.
The Chronomaster El Primero Radar takes inspiration from a pocket watch from 1916 that BWD chief executive George Bamford discovered on a visit to Zenith’s manufacture.
It has a matte-finished stainless steel case, crown and pushers and a burnt brown dial with three oversized counters — each slightly different from the other — encircled by a a white tachymeter scale.
The 42mm watch houses an El Primero 400 B, Automatic Caliber visible through a sapphire glass case back.
It is worn on a rubber strap with a cordura effect on top.
