Hirsch watch straps has inadvertently become the star of a popular YouTube video that has so far attracted more than 458,000 views online.
DIY Custom Apple Watch, posted by YouTube user Unbox Therapy, demonstrates how third party watch straps can be used with the leather strap Apple Watch model using just a pentalobe screwdriver.
Although not mentioned by name in the video, the strap chosen by the blogger to demonstrate the procedure was one of Hirsch’s most recognisable designs, a black Carbon textured leather strap with red stitching.
Apple has been using the Pentalobe Security Screw for a number of years, which is seen as a measure to prevent tampering. Unbox Therapy has nearly 2.5million subscribers on YouTube.
