Xupes.com heads upmarket with creation of ‘hard to find’ curated range of top end timepieces

Xupes.com began life in 2009 as an idea of 22-year old Joe McKenzie from Hertfordshire who, barely out of university, started work on an online pre-owned luxury goods platform that would officially launch in 2011.

Seven years on the marketplace has over 800 luxury pre-owned watches on sale alongside thousands of prestige works of art, jewellery, handbags and homeware items.

Xupes provides a guarantee with each item that it has been authenticated, refurbished and tested.

The business’s latest development is a curated presentation of ultra-rare watches grouped into a curated section of the site called Hard to Find.

It launched in London last week, fronted by the presentation of a perfect condition 18ct yellow gold, lemon dial Paul Newman Rolex Daytona 6264 with an estimated value of £1,000,000.

“We’re extremely excited to have such an iconic timepiece take centre stage in our portfolio of luxury watches,” says Xupes founder Mr McKenzie.

Xupes owns most of the stock that it has on sale, although it sometimes lists consignment items on behalf of third party suppliers.
