money.co.uk<\/a> follows a study by The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) which estimated that global trade for counterfeit brands is around \u00a3500bn a year, and is showing no signs of slowing down.<\/p>\nInterested in this, money.co.uk wanted to find out which luxury brand is the most counterfeited on TikTok.<\/p>\n
The team reviewed 40 of the most popular luxury brands using variations of each hashtag and noted down the number of views.<\/p>\n
This allowed them to rank the luxury brand that is counterfeited the most on TikTok, from most to least.<\/p>\n
While Rolex wasn\u2019t fair behind, Gucci and the sought after luxury Swiss-watch manufacturer were by far and away the top two with Louis Vuitton in third place receiving 2m views and Dior in 4th<\/sup> place with 280k views.<\/p>\nOther notable watch related brands were Chanel in fifth with 163k, Hermes in eighth with 86k and Cartier in ninth with 51k.<\/p>\n
To compile the data, the hashtags investigated were: #fake[brandname], #[brandname]fake, #faux[brandname] and #counterfeit[brandname].<\/p>\n
