Parent company Kering has been transitioning its biggest brand, Gucci, to become a digital leader for over a decade.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Pruniaux, Girard-Perregaux\u2019s CEO is also a digital evangelist, having spent several years with Apple.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite turning 230 years old Girard-Perregaux has no intention of remaining stuck in the past,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, launching e-commerce is just one of the many moves Girard-Perregaux will make in 2021 that reflects our philosophy of constant improvement and striving to maintain a competitive edge,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2021\/01\/GP-Laureato-Absolute-Wired-ls2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58060\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2021\/01\/GP-Laureato-Absolute-Wired-ls2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The limited edition Laureato Absolute Wired is a 44mm chronograph in a case made of compressed and super heat treated glass and carbon that has a matte black, textured, finish that is slightly different from each watch to the next.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2021\/01\/GP-Laureato-Absolute-Wired.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58062\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2021\/01\/GP-Laureato-Absolute-Wired.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"643\" height=\"1024\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Its octagonal bezel uses the same material with shades of black and blue and frames a matte black dial with three chronograph subdials powered by GP\u2019s self-winding Calibre GP03300-1058.<\/p>\n<p>The limited edition has a production run of 88 and will be available online initially in just the United States and Britain.<\/p>\n<p>It can be bought from this week for \u00a313,800.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2021\/01\/GP-Laureato-Absolute-Wired-ls3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58061\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2021\/01\/GP-Laureato-Absolute-Wired-ls3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"769\" height=\"1024\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Girard-Perregaux is choosing its 230th anniversary to take a leap into the future with the launch of its own ecommerce site.
