{"id":54550,"date":"2020-08-28T11:55:44","date_gmt":"2020-08-28T10:55:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=54550"},"modified":"2020-08-28T11:55:46","modified_gmt":"2020-08-28T10:55:46","slug":"longines-historic-french-navy-watch-resurfaces-in-new-style","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/longines-historic-french-navy-watch-resurfaces-in-new-style\/","title":{"rendered":"Longines&#8217; historic French Navy watch resurfaces in new style"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Longines has unveiled the new Heritage Military Marine Nationale watch in commemoration of its classic, mid-20th century watches for the French Navy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 38.5mm timepiece recalls the aesthetics of the watch Longines was asked to produce by the French Navy in 1947.<\/p>\n<p>Offering warm colours and a &#8216;subdued&#8217; dial, this new release contains the same engravings and dial details that the original bore.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2020\/08\/L2.833.4.93.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-54551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2020\/08\/L2.833.4.93.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These include the letters &#8216;MN&#8217;, for &#8216;Military Nationale&#8217; engraved on the case back, and the words &#8216;Longines Fab. Suisse&#8217;, for &#8216;fabrique Suisse&#8217; on the dial.<\/p>\n<p>It uses the L888.5 calibre automatic movement and with a silicon balanced spring, exclusive to Longines.<\/p>\n<p>Longines has been based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, since 1832, and sells in over 150 countries.
