{"id":46974,"date":"2019-05-10T12:25:14","date_gmt":"2019-05-10T11:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=46974"},"modified":"2019-05-10T12:25:15","modified_gmt":"2019-05-10T11:25:15","slug":"bremont-makes-300-d-type-chronographs-in-partnership-with-jaguar-classic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/bremont-makes-300-d-type-chronographs-in-partnership-with-jaguar-classic\/","title":{"rendered":"Bremont makes 300 D-type chronographs in partnership with Jaguar Classic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jaguar and Bremont have joined forced to mark re-starting production of the iconic 1950s D-type race car.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project to start making D-types again is being run by Coventry-based Jaguar Classic, which unearthed 25 numbered chassis for D-types from 1955 that were never built into complete cars.<\/p>\n<p>Those 25 cars are being painstakingly built to modern regulatory standards but will look like perfectly period-correct sports cars.<\/p>\n<p>Bremont, which has been working with Jaguar for almost a decade, is making 300 limited edition mechanical chronographs that will be known as the Bremont D-type timepiece.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2019\/05\/Bremont_Jaguar_D-Type_Back.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46975\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2019\/05\/Bremont_Jaguar_D-Type_Back.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1621\" height=\"1792\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2019\/05\/Bremont_Jaguar_D-Type_Back-926x1024.jpg 926w, https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2019\/05\/Bremont_Jaguar_D-Type_Back.jpg 1621w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1621px) 100vw, 1621px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 43mm watches come in a satin-finished steel case with a blue dial with two brushed nickel sub dials and a tachymeter ring.<\/p>\n<p>The sapphire case back shows the BE-50AE movement that has a rotor designed to look like a classic Jaguar steering wheel.
