{"id":42099,"date":"2018-06-15T10:15:39","date_gmt":"2018-06-15T09:15:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=42099"},"modified":"2018-06-15T10:16:28","modified_gmt":"2018-06-15T09:16:28","slug":"louis-moinet-wins-design-awards-alongside-boeings-dreamliner-aircraft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/louis-moinet-wins-design-awards-alongside-boeings-dreamliner-aircraft\/","title":{"rendered":"Louis Moinet wins design awards alongside Boeing\u2019s Dreamliner aircraft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Louis Moinet has been hailed for its excellence in design with two award wins in an international competition that spans all industries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Good Design Awards, which were first set up approximately 70 years ago, look to recognise designs that enrich people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<p>The awards sees companies and independent designers from a range of industries submit a total of around a thousand applications, from some fifty different countries.<\/p>\n<p>From the paper clip to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, only the most compelling creations are chosen \u2013 regardless of cost, utility or price.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo the best of our knowledge, for an independent Swiss watchmaker to be awarded five prizes in the space of two years is absolutely without precedent,\u201d explained Ateliers Louis Moinet\u2019s CEO Jean-Marie Schaller.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot only does this highlight the creativity of our Ateliers, it also emphasises their ability to continue to innovate. A majority of the panel, comprising 14 design-savvy professionals, were of the considered opinion that our Metropolis Magic Blue and Space Mystery pieces both contributed something new to the art of watchmaking \u2013 exclusive, creative, unique added value.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Metropolis is a city watch, with an ethos combining ergonomics with design, and function with style.
