{"id":41006,"date":"2018-04-04T09:52:55","date_gmt":"2018-04-04T08:52:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=41006"},"modified":"2018-04-04T09:52:55","modified_gmt":"2018-04-04T08:52:55","slug":"seiko-produces-recreations-early-prospex-divers-watches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/seiko-produces-recreations-early-prospex-divers-watches\/","title":{"rendered":"Seiko produces recreations of its early Prospex diver&#8217;s watches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Seiko is producing six Prospex diver\u2019s watches this year to mark 50 years since it created Japan\u2019s first hi-beat watch and 40 years since the world\u2019s first saturation diver\u2019s watch was made.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The key model of this year is a limited edition recreation of the Automatic Diver\u2019s watch first made in 1968.<\/p>\n<p>It was just three years after Seiko\u2019s first diver\u2019s watch that Seiko engineers raised the bar with a hi-beat diver\u2019s watch with 300 meter water resistance that became a platform on which Seiko\u2019s future diver\u2019s watch development was based.<\/p>\n<p>It had a 10-beat high precision automatic caliber, a one-piece structure, screw-down protection crown and unidirectional rotating bezel.<\/p>\n<p>The modern recreation, with a production run of just 1968 units, is specified for saturation diving to 300m.
