The same watch at Fredric H. Rubel Jewelers in Laguna Beach, California, costs the equivalent of \u00a34043 at today&#8217;s exchange rate.<\/p>\n<p>A GMT Master II C is \u00a328,150 at Bucherer but the equivalent of \u00a327,128 in California.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-39718\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2018\/01\/Rolex-price-comparisons-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"963\" height=\"268\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before UK retailers get too anxious, it is important to note that customers from outside the European Union can reclaim the 20% VAT they pay on their purchases.<\/p>\n<p>This continues to give a considerable price advantage to UK retailers that would only be wiped out if the dollar slumped to $1.7 to the pound.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors from the European Union cannot reclaim VAT, but Britain remains cheaper today than on the continent.<\/p>\n<p>In France, for example, a Rolex Sky Dweller ref.\u00a0326933 costs the equivalent of \u00a313,728.
