{"id":37941,"date":"2017-10-11T18:06:22","date_gmt":"2017-10-11T17:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=37941"},"modified":"2017-10-11T18:06:30","modified_gmt":"2017-10-11T17:06:30","slug":"g-shock-goes-gold-first-collection-mark-35th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/g-shock-goes-gold-first-collection-mark-35th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"G-Shock goes for gold in first collection to mark 35th anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>G-Shock will be 35 years old in April next year, and ahead of the anniversary, the company is releasing a commemorative collection of three models known as the Gold Tornado.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The collectors&#8217; models have gold colour accents against a base of symbolic black and red.<\/p>\n<p>All three models in the collection have monolithic black bodies, with bright red on the back of the two-tone watch bands and the \u201cSINCE 1983\u201d on the watch face.<\/p>\n<p>They use\u00a0gold ion plating on the main metal parts including the bezel, case, and screws, with gold color accents used extensively in other areas.<\/p>\n<p>Casio said it chose the color gold to symbolise the G-Shock heritage of constantly impacting the world by delivering new toughness in construction since day one, and the aspiration to maintain the brilliant presence which creates a buzz by producing astonishment and delight.<\/p>\n<p>The Three Models of the Gold Tornado are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GPW-2000TFB features next-generation Connected Engine 3-Way module<\/li>\n<li>G-STEEL GST-B100TFB incorporates lightweight, rigid carbon materials in the bezel<\/li>\n<li>FROGMAN GWF-D1035B is a pro-grade diver\u2019s watch with gold color accents on the LCD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>UK release details have not been disclosed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>G-Shock will be 35 years old in April next year, and ahead of the anniversary, the company is releasing a commemorative collection of three models known as the Gold Tornado.
