{"id":37045,"date":"2017-08-23T09:49:51","date_gmt":"2017-08-23T08:49:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=37045"},"modified":"2017-08-23T09:49:51","modified_gmt":"2017-08-23T08:49:51","slug":"eddie-redmayne-fronts-omega-campaign-seamaster-aqua-terra-watches-reach-retailers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/eddie-redmayne-fronts-omega-campaign-seamaster-aqua-terra-watches-reach-retailers\/","title":{"rendered":"Eddie Redmayne fronts Omega campaign as Seamaster Aqua Terra watches reach retailers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Omega has released new campaign images featuring\u00a0brand ambassador Eddie Redmayne, just as the brand&#8217;s 2017 Seamaster Aqua Terra timepieces go on sale at retailers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Aqua Terra aims to strike the\u00a0balance between sophistication and ocean spirit.<\/p>\n<p>The 2017 collection features models with a\u00a0teak concept dial reminiscent of the decks of luxury yachts running horizontally across the dial.<\/p>\n<p>The date window has been moved from 3 to 6 o\u2019clock to add symmetry to the design and also in tribute to the design of the Automatic Seamaster Calendar from 1952 \u2013 the first Omega watch with a date window. The cases\u00a0have also been reshaped.<\/p>\n\n<p>Omega has taken away the water-resistance wording from the dial and engraved it on the case back instead. A new conical crown completes the makeover, inspired by the wave-edge design found on the caseback.<\/p>\n<p>Three new\u00a0models were presented at Baselworld. The first is a 41mm model made from stainless steel and 18ct\u00a0gold. It features a silvery dial with black hands and indexes as well as a black rubber strap.<\/p>\n<p>A 41mm all steel model on a brown leather strap has a silvery dial with black hands and indexes and a varnished orange seconds hand.
