{"id":33060,"date":"2016-12-14T12:19:57","date_gmt":"2016-12-14T12:19:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=33060"},"modified":"2016-12-14T12:19:57","modified_gmt":"2016-12-14T12:19:57","slug":"hugh-rice-creates-its-own-in-house-training-academy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/hugh-rice-creates-its-own-in-house-training-academy\/","title":{"rendered":"Hugh Rice creates its own in house training academy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hugh Rice is close to completing the creation of the Hugh Rice Academy, which will provide structured training for its staff of 300.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Hull-based retailer, which operates four Hugh Rice stores and seven Pandora concept outlets, started work on its academy in 2015 as part of a five year business improvement and growth plan.<\/p>\n<p>It draws inspiration from the structured training that the Hugh Rice team already does with watch brands including Omega, Breitling and TAG Heuer, but adds less brand-specific education for people from the back office through to the shop floor.<\/p>\n<p>Courses are currently run in traditional classroom settings, but the aim is to take the entire programme online so that it can be accessed from anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe academy will be an online resource by the end of 2017.
