When race-car driver and Hollywood actor Paul Newman was pictured wearing this watch with its distinctive dial, his name became forever linked with this particular Rolex aesthetic and a legend was born,&#8221; says Fellows&#8217;\u00a0Alexandra Whittaker.<\/p>\n<p>Another highlight\u00a0is a 2016 Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona chronograph. It was only this year that the steel Cosmograph finally received the Cerachrom update available to its gold and platinum stablemates.<\/p>\n<p>The limited availability of this piece, coupled with the distinctive dial scheme aping the colours of the 6239, makes this watch one of the most sought after in the contemporary watch market. Fellows has placed an estimated value of \u00a39,000 \u2013 14,000 on this lot.<\/p>\n<p>Away from Rolex, Fellows is drawing attention to a pair of diving watches:\u00a0a Blancpain 50 Fathoms produced by Blancpain for the French Navy\u2019s elite Combat Divers in 1953; and a Seiko 62MAS, the first diver&#8217;s watch to be produced by the Japanese company.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32464\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2016\/11\/Fellows-Blancpain-50.jpg\" alt=\"Book 2.indb\" width=\"1284\" height=\"2048\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Limited editions include a\u00a0De Ville watch from Omega. Known as the \u2018Emerald\u2019, this watch was designed by jeweller Andrew Grima\u00a0and was produced for only three years from 1971 to 1973.<\/p>\n<p>The Watch Sale will take place on Tuesday 29<sup>th<\/sup> November 2016.
