{"id":31286,"date":"2016-09-14T11:37:25","date_gmt":"2016-09-14T10:37:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=31286"},"modified":"2016-09-21T17:38:34","modified_gmt":"2016-09-21T16:38:34","slug":"anchor-crew-aim-to-raise-40000-from-crowdfunding-to-finance-debut-watch-collection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/anchor-crew-aim-to-raise-40000-from-crowdfunding-to-finance-debut-watch-collection\/","title":{"rendered":"Anchor &#038; Crew aim to raise \u00a340,000 from crowdfunding to finance debut watch collection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jewellery business Anchor &amp; Crew is creating its first watch collection, and is using crowd funding to raise money for the development of its debut commercial collection.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prototypes of the watches were unveiled at this month\u2019s International Jewellery London exhibition, but will go into production following a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/683769008\/the-official-anchor-and-crew-watch-collection\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fundraising campaign on Kickstarter<\/a><\/strong> that goes live this week.<\/p>\n<p>The company aims to raise \u00a340,000 in just one month, with investors promised the first watches off the production line at generous discounts.\u00a0So far, \u00a31454 has been pledged.<\/p>\n<p>The full launch is planned for Spring 2017, the company says.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31287\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2016\/09\/Anchor-and-Crew-watches-2.jpg\" alt=\"anchor-and-crew-watches-2\" width=\"680\" height=\"688\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnchor &amp; Crew are known for their visually refined and casual look, sleek and contemporary, and have been designing, prototyping and testing the Official Anchor &amp; Crew Watch Collection for a very long time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWanting to offer watches that are unique in design (particularly via the featuring of rope within the dial of a watch), high quality in manufacture (to be hand assembled in Great Britain in our workshop) and complementary in style to the existing award-winning Anchor &amp; Crew jewellery range, the jewellery and watch industries are highly anticipating this collection,\u201d the company says.<\/p>\n<p>The first collection will comprise five sub lines with 44 different colourways across the designs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31288\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2016\/09\/Anchor-and-Crew-watches-rope.jpg\" alt=\"anchor-and-crew-watches-rope\" width=\"625\" height=\"2048\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jewellery business Anchor &amp; Crew is creating its first watch collection, and is using crowd funding to raise money for the development of its debut commercial collection.
