{"id":31242,"date":"2016-09-08T18:10:14","date_gmt":"2016-09-08T17:10:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/?p=31242"},"modified":"2016-09-08T18:10:14","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T17:10:14","slug":"rado-reveals-latest-ceramica-designed-in-collaboration-with-konstantin-grcic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/rado-reveals-latest-ceramica-designed-in-collaboration-with-konstantin-grcic\/","title":{"rendered":"Rado reveals latest Ceramica designed in collaboration with Konstantin Grcic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rado has unveiled a new Ceramica designed by legendary industrial designer Konstantin Grcic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Rado Ceramica, a timepiece known for its striking linear shape and use of high-tech ceramic, has been redesigned by the designer, giving one of the brand\u2019s most recognisable timepieces a contemporary interpretation while retaining the strong geometric shape that made the original such a classic.<\/p>\n<p>The latest Ceramica is a high-tech ceramic timepiece for both men and women who appreciate purist, modern aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p>The linear bracelet silhouette of the original has evolved into a more classic watch shape, with the gently curved edges of the monobloc case taking center stage.<\/p>\n<p>Advances in technology, together with Grcic&#8217;s vision, have given rise to the combination of form and material, which finds expression in the eleven models that make up the new Ceramica collection.<\/p>\n<p>Two gents\u2019 models offer a matt take on the Ceramica, previously best known in its high gloss finish. Limited to just 701 pieces, Konstantin Grcic\u2019s signature model stands out not only because of its velvety finish, but also thanks to the creative use of typography on the dial. \u201cIn my opinion, the matt finish brings out the form of the watch much stronger,\u201d says Grcic. \u201cThe design of the dials is bold and legible. I took inspiration from pilot watches \u2013 I like them for their straightforward, clear graphics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fans of subdials can opt for the matt model featuring a small second counter, with grey printed indexes adding to the monochrome minimalist appeal.<\/p>\n<p>Ladies editions come in \u00a0two diamond-studded pieces in a choice of either glossy black or white high-tech ceramic boasting silver coloured detailing and four diamonds on the dial.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31240\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2016\/09\/newceramica_19.jpg\" alt=\"newceramica_19\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1444\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rado has unveiled a new Ceramica designed by legendary industrial designer Konstantin Grcic.
