Lange &#038; S\u00f6hne attracts bidding war at latest Fellows Watch Sale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A Saxonia wristwatch from A.\u00a0Lange &amp; S\u00f6hne fetched the top price of \u00a310,000 at August&#8217;s The Watch Sale at Fellows.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The auction also saw Rolex perform well, including a\u00a0Rolex Daytona Beach with a\u00a0chrysoprase dial and matching green lizard leather strap, which sold for \u00a39,200, almost \u00a32,000 over its top estimate.<\/p>\n<p>A 1968 stainless steel Oyster Perpetual Date GMT-Master bracelet watch with a faded bezel beat its estimate twice over to\u00a0sell for \u00a35,700.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31012\" src=\"https:\/\/www.watchpro.com\/2016\/08\/Rolex-Oyster-Perpetual.jpg\" alt=\"Rolex Oyster Perpetual\" width=\"504\" height=\"504\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Alongside Rolex, ever popular brands Breitling and Omega also sold well, Fellows reports, while an\u00a0Audemars Piguet bi-material Royal Oak Offshore chronograph wristwatch\u00a0went under the hammer for\u00a0\u00a37,100.<\/p>\n<p>Collecting watches isn&#8217;t just for millionaires.
