With watch mechanisms being naturally resistant to being pared down, slimline in horology is something of a battle and one that Jaeger-LeCoultre is winning.
Continuing its commitment to developing the category of ultra-thin watches, in 2013 the watchmaker unveiled its Ultra Thin 41. In a case that is just 7.4mm thick resides the Jaeger-LeCoultre 896 mechanical automatic movement, which beats at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
Despite the technical innovation that comes with its slender frame, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin 41 has an understated classic appearance with two dauphine hands moving over an eggshell-coloured dial in the 18ct rose gold version, or a sunray-brushed silver dial in the steel version. This is a thin watch that leaves a big impression.
