Denim? On a watch? As a strap maybe, but Guess has gone the whole hog and coated its dial in blue jeans. Hublot may have got there first but Guess is leading the way at a much more affordable end of the market taking denim-only fashion collections from the likes of Louis Vuitton and Chanel to a natural conclusion.
There’s a lot going on with this design; rose gold, steel, denim, exposed screw heads, cast and brushed metal finishes and crystals. It shouldn’t work but it does, managing to be both dressy and casual at the same time. It also fits neatly into Guess’ ‘blue is best’ strategy. A Japanese quartz movement not only powers three central hands but also day, date and 24hr subdials.
