Highly Commended. Women’s Watches of the Year 2014.
The Eterna Contessa is the stand-out beauty of this category. Classically proportioned with Art Deco influences, it’s also one of the few watches to actually benefit from a diamond-encrusted case, in this case 288 of them set on every brushed and polished surface including a 0.06ct diamond set in the crown.
The Contessa’s rectangular case is also ever-so-slightly pinched-in at the crown: it’s barely perceptible but never fails to draw the eye. The multi-layered white mother-of-pearl dial also uses 12 diamonds as hour markers while two hands indicate hours and minutes.
The Contessa range is incredibly scaleable with simple, yet stylish, steel models priced from less than £1,000 to extravagant five-figure precious metal, jewelled timepieces such as this.
