Here, dial is everything. This Fossil Group-crafted Emporio Armani wears an eye-catching quadrant dial of the kind more often seen on vintage Swiss dress watches from the 1950s and 1960s than on 21st Century fashion watches.
The sectors alternate between horizontal and vertical striations that create a light-to-dark graduation from the centre of the dial to its edge. Dial furniture is kept to a minimum to ensure the quadrant design is the star of the show.
Baton hour markers and a simple minute track are realised in case-matching polished metal leaving just brand name, eagle logo and a neatly implemented date aperture at the 6 o’clock position, none of which obstruct the dial.
