Earlier this year WatchPro unveiled its Watches of the Year 2012 – the 10 winning timepieces and 90 highly commended watches that we felt boasted commercial appeal, innovation and had wowed consumers and retailers alike over the past 12 months.
Highly commended in the Limited Edition Watch of the Year category was the Tissot PRS 330
Tony Parker Limited Edition 2012.
With a striking orange strap the Tony Parker Limited Edition timepiece is a collaboration with US basketball star Tony Parker, one of Tissot’s ambassadors.
We know this watch will command a worldwide consumer audience with its energetic colourway — which references the orange colour of basketballs — and details such as Parker’s logo on the caseback.
The watch is limited to 4,999 pieces based on Parker’s shirt number, nine, which is also picked out on the dial.
It has a Swiss-made quartz movement, a smooth-edged stainless steel case and details such as skeleton hands and the T logo on the crown, hands and running into the silicone strap.
This is an excellent collectors’ piece for sports fans with plenty of commercial appeal.
