WOMEN’S WATCHES OF THE YEAR: Chanel Première Camélia Skeleton

This year, to mark the 30th anniversary of the Première watch, Chanel created an exclusive fine bejewelled limited edition named the Première Camélia Skeleton.

The CHF 122,222 (£93,000) watch was selected as the winner in the lady’s category of this year’s GPHG Awards.

Chanel developed only the second movement it has ever made, the Caliber 2, for the timepiece.

The hand wound movement, designed in the geometric patern of a Camélia flower, is fully on show in the see-through watch.

It is surrounded by a diamond-studded case in the classic Chanel No.5 bottle stopper shape and also has diamond-encrusted hands.
