Women’s watches to be honoured in the Shard

Specialist women’s watch magazine, Eve’s Watch, will be celebrating the best women’s watches out there at its inaugural awards ceremony.

Awards on the night will cover the full women’s watch spectrum; from high jewellery through to fashionable mass market timepieces.

Categories at the event have been curated and shortlisted by Eve’s Watch, with winners being chosen by a judging panel made up of leading female watch specialists, journalists and collectors, such as Elizabeth Doerr, Tracey Llewellyn, Avril Groom, Gaia Geddes, Laura McCreddie, Alice Jonsdottir Ferrier (collector), Robyn Kotze, and Jane Trew.

In association with media partner Time Inc. UK, there will be a Popular Choice Award, voted for by the readers of InStyle, Marie Claire, woman&home, Eve’s Watch, Livingetc and Country Life.

Larissa Trew, co-founder of the Eve’s Watch Awards, comments: “Women’s watches have long been overlooked, but the incredibly positive reception we’ve received to the inaugural Eve’s Watch Awards proves that there is an appetite for positive coverage and acknowledgement in this area of the market. The Eve’s Watch Awards judging panel is a group of women with unparalleled watch knowledge, experience and expertise, while our partnership with Time Inc. UK ensures that watch enthusiasts will also have their opinions heard.”

Justine Southall, managing director of Fashion and Beauty, Time Inc. UK says: “We are hugely excited to be collaborating with the inaugural Eve’s Watch Awards 2016. We know that gorgeous, beautifully crafted watches are a truly covetable commodity for our discerning readers across our portfolio of magazines. We’ve seen the popularity around the watch content we produce and it is therefore fantastic that in recent years women’s watches have risen to prominence. We look forward to supporting this growth and encourage brands to continue creating exciting, innovative and unusual designs for female consumers, who’ve proven they need more than a slimmed down man’s watch to satisfy them.”

The evening will be hosted on the 24th floor of London landmark, The Shard, on 20 October.
