WOLF packs up and moves into 21st century logistics, warehousing and service hub

Watch winder specialist WOLF has moved its headquarters to West Sussex where it can combine a vastly expanded warehouse, service and logistics hub with a head office for the UK and Europe.

The facility, just outside Worthing, has a footprint of 10,000 square feet, but a high pile storage system gives WOLF capacity of 30,000 square feet with a pick and pack staging area of an additional 950 square feet.

Chief executive Simon Wolf tells WatchPro the new location was chosen because it is close to Brighton, the company’s former location, and also with easy access to the company’s biggest market, London. “It has views of a forest and the Downs, and it has no seagulls,” he jokes.

Wolf will now be able to bring all of its fulfillment and service in house, which has become a pinch point following another year of strong growth in the UK and European countries handled from this country.

“2017 saw another huge increase in sales, 43.92% to be exact. With the continued growth, very soon our partners wouldn’t have been able to achieve the service level we demand so taking it all in-house made sense. All of our customers experienced a sales increase YOY and as we have added all collections to the UK offering we were also running out of space. Having the efficiency of all product on-site, the customer service team, management and warehouse together, plus showrooms, will be invaluable,” Mr Wolf explains.
