Weir & Sons “delighted at Rolex recognition” as it becomes Authorised Service Centre

They have achieved so by following comprehensive training given by Rolex which aims to ensure that the same quality of servicing is provided across the world.

Ireland’s Weir & Sons has been awarded Rolex Authorised Service Centre status meaning that its three Rolex-trained watchmakers and a technician are able to service Rolex Watches.

They have achieved so by following comprehensive training given by Rolex which aims to ensure that the same quality of servicing is provided across the world.

Managing Director at Weir & Sons, Chris Andrew, was thrilled with the accreditation.

He explained: “We are delighted that our workshop has attained Rolex Authorised Service Centre Status, we worked with Rolex on providing a state-of-the-art workshop to the brand’s specifications, and the status is recognition of all the hard work our team have put in to raising the bar.

“We are really proud to offer this service to our clients allowing us to give a full two-year worldwide Rolex Service Guarantee on any watch that goes through our workshop.”

The Rolex Authorised Service centre at Weir & Sons offers many different types of services including a full service which involves the complete overhaul of the watch movement, case, and bracelet.

Several steps are required using special tools and instruments – the watch is completely dismantled, and each component is carefully examined, any parts that do not meet the Rolex standard are replaced.

Each component is cleaned in an ultrasonic bath and dried. The case and bracelet receive similar treatment, all this is carried out in a controlled environment. Each step is carried out with exceptional precision, accuracy, and care.

All functions are checked and verified and once passed this gives the watch the benefits of a two-year international guarantee covering the parts and labour.
