There are 300 auctioneers working with the site listing around 80,000 watches every year, and the company’s chief executive John-Paul Savant says the number of bids at watch auctions has risen by 72% over the past five years.
Watch search terms have risen up the top 10 searches on thesaleroom.com in the past year, but especially since lock down started.
