WatchPro offers 10% discount to join monthly watch collecting club

WatchGang is offering a 10% discount to WatchPro readers who join their monthly watch collecting club.

The US-based company claims to be the biggest watch collecting club in the world, and is looking to expand internationally.

Members of WatchGang pay a monthly subscription fee starting at $25 per month for the entry level; $91 per month for the Black level and $275 for the Platinum level.

They are sent a new watch every month, with the average value of the watches increasing at the higher-priced membership tiers.

WatchGang works with a range of emerging microbrands — many of them recent startups on crowd funding sites — as well as established brands including Citizen.

The business model for WatchGang is to use its scale and connections with microbrands to secure interesting watches at discounted prices that ensures members are sent watches worth more than their monthly subscription fee.

There are currently around 10,000 members, each receiving a new watch every month, which has led WatchGang to become one of the biggest watch buyers in the United States.

“Watch Gang prides itself on finding truly limited watches,” said Hunter Morris, COO of WatchGang.  “From micro-brands and limited productions, to the hottest upstarts that just launched on crowdfunding sites, we’re experts at securing high-value pieces that are as unique as our members.”

Every member, regardless of which tier, is entered into a weekly prize draw to win a Rolex.

New members in the UK will have their membership price reduced by 10% using the discount code “WatchPro”.

There will be a shipping cost every month of $25 for each watch. This means that for a Black member, the subscription fee will be $81.90, or $106.90 including shipping cost.

Black members are promised watches using automatic or Swiss quartz movements worth $150-$500 every month.
