Pianobar

WatchPro nails its colours to Pianobar mast

The British watch industry can today breathe a collective sigh of relief, as WatchPro can exclusively announce that Pianobar will play host to the UK watch contingent every evening at this year’s Baselworld exhibition, from March 19th to March 26th.

After reporting the closure of Fair & Square (aka ‘The Pickwick’) last month, attention turned to finding a replacement watering hole for the thirsty British hordes, and the outstanding candidate was Pianobar, a stone’s throw from the old ‘British Embassy.’

Andreas Bernauer, manager of Pianobar, has welcomed the potential flood of displaced British social refugees with open doors. With an outdoor lounge space accommodating over 100 people, the bar is all set to weather the UK storm, and has even promised WatchPro special prices on drinks (a half litre of Konig Pilsener will cost about £4.70, which is a veritable bargain in Switzerland).

Pianobar can be found less than two minutes walk away from MCH Exhibition Centre, situated on Riehenring. WatchPro looks forward to seeing the great and good of the UK watch industry at roughly 18.00 every evening during Baselworld.

The king is dead, long live the king.
