The past five years have not been easy for fashion watch brands. Tech giants, especially Apple, have made smartwatches that customers have switched to in their millions.
At the same time social media, which helped certain fashion watch brands flare up into must-have wristwear earlier in this decade, has become cluttered and impossible to dominate.
It has left many fashion brands in decline, but there are still several among this year’s finalists that are bucking that trend.
For the 123 retailers that voted for Fashion Watch Brand of the Year, there were two clear leaders: Hugo Boss and Olivia Burton.
Both work hard to support their retail partners with innovative merchandising, marketing and, of course, on-trend watches.
Hugo Boss, which has been growing in sales for 24 consecutive quarters, according to its owner Movado Group, came out on top of this fashion-forward field with a decisive 41% of the vote.
The Award was presented to the Hugo Boss team by Karl Turnbull, director of merchandising and store refurbishment specialist Redd Retail, which sponsored the category.
