WATCHPRO AWARD WINNERS: Independent Luxury Watch Retailer of the Year

JOINT WINNERS: Frosts of London and Harrington & Hallworth

Two very different luxury independents managed a dead heat in the vote for this Award, and both are very worthy winners. Harrington & Hallworth has had an exceptional year, with sales rising 15% for brands including Hublot, IWC and Cartier.

Their average sale price is over £20,000, the sort of cash that the wealthy residents of Wilmslow and Manchester take in their stride. The company is opening a third boutique in central Manchester next year; taking over a unit being vacated by Boodles.

Frost of London has benefited from a surge in tourist spending this summer at its recently refurbished Bond Street boutique, particularly for obscure brands that collectors crave and exclusive pieces from more recognisable brands including Graham, Parmigiani and Corum.
