Watchfinder adds second brand to new watch rosta

Watchfinder & Co., a specialist retailer of pre-owned luxury watches, has added a second brand to its complementary new division, which sells brand new timepieces.

Belgian brand Ressence joins Swiss maker SevenFriday in the Watchfinder line up. Collections from both companies will be on sale in WF&Co’s boutique in London’s Royal Exchange, and on its web site.

Ressence, founded in 2010 by industrial designer Benoît Mintiens, was awarded the Horological Revelation prize at the 2013 Grand Prix D’Horlogerie De Genève for its Type 3 timepiece.

Watchfinder will promote Ressence via its weekly newsletters, which are sent to 230,000 subscribers, a website which receives 12,000 visits each day, and its tablet app.

Sales director Lloyd Amsdon commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Ressence, a cutting-edge brand that we’ve always admired, to our roster of complementary new brands, adding to the wealth and diversity that only Watchfinder stocks.”

Ressence founder Benoît Mintiens added: “I am delighted to begin selling Ressence in the UK, where demand and interest in the brand has always been strong, through a retailer that offers a full package from point of sale through to media and PR capacities.”
