Watches & Wonders will go ahead as planned

Invitations being sent out by brands to retailers and press.

Watches and Wonders organisers have held their nerve and will go ahead with a physical event with 39 brands.

Doors open on March 30 at Palexpo Geneva for the first major watch exhibition since 2019.

In the intervening three years, Baselworld has imploded and its blockbuster exhibitors including Rolex, Patel Philippe, TAG Heuer and Tudor have moved to the Geneva event.

Retailers have been anxiously waiting to hear confirmation that the show will take place.

There has been no formal announcement from organiser FHH, but IWC, a cornerstone exhibitor at the event, sent out invitations this evening.

Festival of Time

Before finalising travel plans, press and retailers should be aware they can see far more than the 39 watch brands exhibiting at Watches and Wonders.

A brand new show, organized by WATCHPRO, is taking place the very next week (in fact, overlapping with the end of Watches and Wonders).

Festival of Time, as the name suggests, will be a fun-filled few days in London, with the opportunity to visit dozens of independent watch brands in the luxury of the iconic Cafe Royal Hotel.

“The delay to Watches & Wonders confirming it will take place as a physical event has made it difficult for other watchmakers to organise their launch events around the same dates, but we have been quietly planning for months for an event that will bring together retailers, press, influencers, collectors and brands for a three day Festival of Time in London’s spectacular and historic Cafe Royal Hotel,” reveals Lucy Cheesewright, head of WATCHPRO Live.

Full details of the Festival of Time will be revealed next week.
