Watches of the Year nomination deadline tomorrow

The deadline for nominations for WatchPro’s Watches of the Year 2013 is tomorrow. Brands, watchmakers, retailers and journalists are urged to nominate now.

For the past month or so, WatchPro has been encouraging brands, watchmakers, retailers and journalists to nominate the watch or watches that have really impressed them this year.

WatchPro is once again publishing Watches of the Year, a detailed list of stand-out watches from 2013, which have each made an impact for their own individual reason.

The final list is created through a combination of retailer recommendations, brand nominations and ultimately research and consultation within the WatchPro team. The deadline for those brands and retailers wishing to nominate timepieces is almost upon us but there is still time to let your thoughts be known.

If you would like to suggest one or more watches for Watches of the Year 2013, please let us know which one and why. You can email: info@watchpro.com or kate.doherty@itppromedia.com simply fill in the completed form, here, and email it back to us.

If you have a high resolution photo and information about the watch, please include those in your email.

The list, which includes a photo and information about each watch, will be published in the November issue of WatchPro and the watches will be categorised into sections such as: Mechanical Watch of the Year; Classic Watch of the Year and Most Innovative Watch of the Year.

WatchPro editor Kate Doherty said: "The purpose of Watches of the Year is not necessarily to focus solely on the most expensive or even most complicated of timepieces but to recognise models that stand out for their own individual personalities. Whether they are leading the fashion pack, feature a creative combination of materials or house an exciting new movement, we want to recognise watches that have made an impact this year. We want to hear from industry insiders about the watches that they feel this list can’t live without."
