Watches of Switzerland Group confirms its stores will reopen on June 15

Analysis of the full year financial results for The Watches of Switzerland Group suggests that around £13 million in sales have been lost per week since all stores closed.

The Watches of Switzerland Group, parent organisation of Goldsmiths, Mappin & Webb and Watches of Switzerland, has said that it will be re-opening all of its stores in England on the 15th of June.

“We have been working hard to ensure that we can provide a safe and enjoyable shopping experience. We will be sharing more information on what you can expect when you visit us in our stores so be sure to look out for further updates,” a statement from the company on social media says.

There has so far been no response to a request from WatchPro for additional details.

Analysis of the full year financial results for The Watches of Switzerland Group suggests that around £13 million in sales have been lost per week since all stores closed in the United States on March 19 and its UK stores were shuttered on March 23.

There has been a partial reopening of the group’s network of stores in the United States, where lock down restrictions have been eased in Florida and Georgia. New York, Las Vegas and Boston are yet to reopen.

Beaverbrooks announced last week that it would be reopening its 70 stores in England on June 15 with a wide range of health and safety measures introduced.
