Watches and Wonders organiser postpones its warm-up event

Watch Forum has been bumped from early February as the omicron wave puts Swiss events in jeopardy this spring.

FHH, the organisation behind Watches and Wonders, announced the creation of a new entity at the end of last year to oversee its cultural activities named Watches and Culture.

Its first physical event, a Watch Forum that will discuss sustainability in the industry, was due to have taken place on February 8 in Geneva and kicked off what it calls “a new watch movement”.

Its mission is to address key social and environmental issues to promote positive emulation and engage all stakeholders in a more sustainable industry, FHH described.

Now that Watch Forum has become the latest event to be postponed, with the organiser stating: “After full consideration and analysis, given the virulence of this phase of the pandemic in Switzerland that is due to still be potentially disruptive in four weeks, Watches and Culture has decided to postpone the Watch Forum.

“We are planning on holding the Watch Forum later this year. The new date will be announced soon”.
