WatchBox signs media partnership with A. Lange & Söhne expert Langepedia

WatchBox executives, which have been critical of Richemont-owned brands including Lange in the past, have said the German watchmaker could be “the next big thing” on the secondary market.

Pre-owned specialist WatchBox has partnered with Alp Sever and Langepedia to increase its coverage of A. Lange & Söhne through its various media channels.

Langepedia launched as an Instagram account in 2016 and, five years on, has become a valuable source of information for Lange collectors worldwide.

WatchBox executives, which have been critical of Richemont-owned brands including Lange in the past, have said the German watchmaker could be “the next big thing” on the secondary market with an increasing number of rare and complicated references selling for over retail as the brand cleans out excess inventory from the grey market.

“Langepedia is an indispensable resource for the modern watch collector to learn about A. Lange & Söhne’s distinct aesthetic, incredible range of calibers, mechanical ingenuity, and ongoing history. Alp shares his passion and knowledge through the lens of a collector – a perfect fit for the WatchBox ecosystem and our remarkable A. Lange & Söhne inventory,” says Mike Manjos, WatchBox’s global head of trading.

Langepedia will continue to operate as a standalone website and social media channel but collaborative content and special activations will draw attention to WatchBox inventory.
