Artem sailcloth watch straps on top Down Under

Australia is not the first country that you might think of when it comes to all things horological. But a brand, Artem, from Adelaide is looking to make its mark on the watch industry.

It focuses on the manufacture of sailcloth watch straps, designed and tested extensively to ensure the highest possible quality. The straps are made from synthetic materials (both under and upper sides), resulting in a satin sheen finish. The company says that they are the finest sailcloth straps on the market, avoiding the stiffness of competitors’ straps.

Artem avoids using full grain leather in its straps, due to the material’s incompatibility with water. This is another example of the careful consideration and planning that goes into every material design element of an Artem strap.

And what about the company’s after sales service and how it treats its customers? This is something that the brand takes very seriously. Irrespective of where in the world an enquiry comes from, the Australian team prides itself on its quick response time. It then takes seriously any feedback that it’s given, with a mind to constantly improving its service and product.

Artem straps currently stock straps in sizes: 20mm, 21mm, 22mm and 23mm in white, grey, black, red and blue stitching options. It also provides extra-long and extra-short straps for extreme wrist sizes. Soon to be added to the range is a 19mm option.

The straps come at a suggested retail price of $85. Click HERE to find out more.
