Artem sailcloth watch straps on top Down Under

Australian brand Artem prides itself on the quality of its sailcloth watch straps

Australia is not the first country that you might think of when it comes to all things horological. But a brand, Artem, from Adelaide is looking to make its mark on the watch industry.

It focuses on the manufacture of sailcloth watch straps, designed and tested extensively to ensure the highest possible quality.

“Our meticulous material section process is what results in our straps’ coveted satin sheen, flexibility and ability to be worn in water. The upper side of our straps is made from an embossed synthetic material whereas the underside is a leather base coated with a layer of natural rubber (caoutchouc),” the company says. This is another example of the careful consideration and planning that goes into every material design element of an Artem strap.

And what about the company’s after sales service and how it treats its customers? This is something that the brand takes very seriously. Irrespective of where in the world an enquiry comes from, the Australian team prides itself on its quick response time. It then takes seriously any feedback that it’s given, with a mind to constantly improving its service and product.
