David Duggan Watches, revered luxury watch retailer has introduced new and vintage Tudor models to its Burlington Arcade showroom in Mayfair.
The luxury watch retailer, which regards itself as a London institution for global collectors of coveted timepieces, has become an official Tudor retailer and the first to sell vintage and new Tudor watches side by side.
The current David Duggan collection features an array of iconic vintage Tudors, which retail alongside pieces from Rolex and Patek Philippe and other sought after pre-owned brands, but the eponymous founder considers Tudor to be the up-and-coming brand for vintage watch collectors more generally.
He said: “Tudor is the ideal choice for those new to the world of luxury watch collecting and those who wish to invest in a timepiece that is ultimately wearable, but will retain its performance as well as its value for a lifetime.”
In response to the growing demand for modern watches with collectible potential, David Duggan Watches said it carries the full range of new Heritage Tudors stocked alongside their vintage counterparts.
According to the retailer, the coming together of collectible Tudor iconic vintage and modern classic watches under one roof makes David Duggan the only place in the UK where buyers will be able to purchase both new and vintage Tudor.
David has built up a large collection of iconic vintage Tudors. The heritage watches held will include those debuted at Baselworld 2016 – they comprise of the Black Bay collection, the Tudor Ranger, Pelagos, North Flag, Chronograph and Advisor models.
In addition to the Heritage collection, David Duggan Watches will be sourcing and stocking desirable pieces on the vintage Tudor market including the Oyster Prince – used by the Royal Navy during the historic British North Greenland Expedition from 1952 to 1954; rare, early versions of the original Advisor watch; the Oyster Prince Submariner – which became the timekeeping instrument of choice for the US Navy and the Marine Nationale Française and the brand’s self-winding chronographs.
