The Manero Peripheral Only Watch 2017 model is the epitome of a timeless classic. The timepiece’s clear design language emphasizes the sophisticated finish of the 18-carat white gold case. The characteristic peripheral rotor, which Carl F. Bucherer was the first manufacturer to put into series production, appears for the first time ever in the same royal blue that adorns the model’s leather strap and indices, a tribute to the brand’s attention to detail. Alluding to the auction that will take place on November 11, the eleven of the date appears in the same blue.

A metallic dedication is placed on the inside of the see-through sapphire-crystal case back that reads “ONLY WATCH 2017 – Pièce unique – Fabriquée en Suisse”, adding another layer to the one-of-a-kind character of the timepiece. This is a watch that embodies the full innovative force of the Carl F. Bucherer manufacture by blending the sophisticated engineering of the in-house movement with a timeless design interpretation.

The successful bidder and a person of her/his choice will also be invited for an unforgettable experience in the brand’s hometown, Lucerne, in the very heart of Switzerland. They will enjoy a two-night stay at the prestigious Chateau Gütsch hotel, which is located in one of the most picturesque hotel locations in the world.

Here they can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains and head out to explore the historic city accompanied by a guide – and they will also have the privilege of visiting the Carl F. Bucherer manufacture, where they can experience the entire world of the family business.

For Only Watch 2017, Christophe Claret pays tribute to the love of live and the love passion.

At the heart of this watchmaking fable, a 3D depiction of the cherry blossom revisited by Christophe Claret gives pride of place to artistic crafts. The blue enameled center of the flower features a pistil topped with a blue sapphire and stamens represented by 28 emeralds.

To provide a joyful escort for the passing of time, two hand-engraved dragonflies indicate the time.

The white gold case is adorned with 59 blue sapphires and 15 marquise-cut emeralds symbolizing the leaves of the cherry tree.

The visual enchantment does not end there. One press on the pusher at 2 o’clock makes the numbers disappear to reveal the phrase specially created for Only Watch: “Pour l’amour de la vie” (For the love of life).

The sapphire caseback provides an opportunity to admire the movement’s oscillating weight, set with 4 emeralds and 4 blue sapphires. At will, the owner can indulge in the “He loves me… he loves me not” game, the simplified English version of daisy petals.

More than ever, the Magicafiore watch establishes itself as a vivid symbol of the romantic game of love and chance. A unique piece for a unique woman.

To mark 100 years since the Russian Revolution, Fabergé presents a chronograph of revolutionary significance in the horological cosmos, paying homage to the unfinished Constellation Egg of 1917.

The Fabergé Visionnaire Chronograph marks a new standard in charting time. Hours and minutes are read at the periphery of the watch dial while the chronograph function takes centre stage. The automatic calibre 6361, developed in partnership with Agenhor, offers a new intuitive chronograph display. It is a revolutionary new movement that imparts unprecedented clarity, precision and efficiency to the highly popular chronograph complication. It is the modern-day analogue to a Fabergé egg — a mechanical opus with wonder at its heart.

The timepiece features an opaline dial with TCI luminescent coating 15-minute indicators, sapphire with metallic treatment and applied numerals and hour indicators and an automatic chronograph movement, developed by Agenhor, encased in a 43mm black ceramic and DLC-treated titanium case.

Aurelie Picaud, Global Timepieces Director, said: “Fabergé is honoured to be taking part in the important Only Watch project. The first deliveries of the new Visionnaire Chronograph were due to take place in November; however, Fabergé has worked closely with its external work-masters to ensure the first Chronograph was available to dedicate to this special cause. Jean-Marc Wiederrecht and his team at Agenhor developed the revolutionary chronograph movement that is housed in this watch and Someco has created the bespoke dial, so we’re thrilled to offer a special-edition Fabergé Visionnaire Chronograph to the Only Watch initiative.”

As a passionate supporter of charitable foundations, Frederique Constant continues to show its support to this noble cause. This year, the brand does so with the Perpetual Calendar, which has been praised as one of the most reliable and affordable grandes complications in the industry. For this exclusive Only Watch edition, the brand wanted to present a variation of this timepiece that is incredibly jaw dropping.

The timepiece features the functions of a perpetual calendar, such as hours, minutes, moonphase, date, day, month and most importantly the leap year. All in an 18k polished rose gold 42mm case with a see-through back case revealing intricate Perlage and Côtes de Genève decoration on the FC-775 in-house caliber.

However, what makes this piece truly exclusive is the one-of-a-kind meteorite dial giving the once classic timepiece, an edgy twist! Meteorite stones are often found in desert areas; in this case, the one used for this unique piece was uncovered in the desert of Namibia. A perpetual calendar perpetuates the endless passing of time, this unstoppable force by which all of mankind’s actions are defined. It was only fitting that the brand chose a material that has most likely wandered through space for millions of years before hitting earth to symbolize the etherealness of our lives, a symbol of eternity and a message to live to the fullest, making every minute count.
