Vacheron Constantin stirs ‘Watchmaking Emotions’ at Harrods exhibition

Held in the atrium of the Fine Watch department, the brand has unveiled an exclusive exhibitions aimed to ‘thrill’ fans of Haute Horlogerie.

Vacheron Constantin has announced its exhibition named ‘Watchmaking Emotions’ at Harrods in Knightsbridge.

Held in the atrium of Harrods’ Fine Watch department, Vacheron Constantin has unveiled its exclusive exhibition to ‘thrill’ devotees of Haute Horlogerie.

The brand says the exhibition has been designed to transport customers on a journey of emotions as they experience the scenography within the infinity mirror windows.

A Vacheron Constantin timepiece is the centre of attention within each scene that depict the international and cultural translation of the emotions evoked by the timepieces and their universe.

The brand went on to detail how the timepieces and scenes include the “desire elicited by the shade of blue on the dial of the Fiftysix, the excitement at witnessing the movement of the Malte tourbillon or the butterflies in your stomach at the sight of the guilloché dial of the Traditionnelle.”

Christophe Ramel explains the reason behind choosing Harrods as the location in which to exhibit.

He said: “As a Maison committed to beautiful high watchmaking since 1755, Vacheron Constantin is proud to present this exclusive exhibition with Harrods, the world’s most emblematic department store and our long-time partner. Watchmaking Emotions truly highlights our joint commitment to art and creativity and our openness to the world.”

Beth Hannaway, general merchandise manager for Fine Jewellery & Fine Watches, commented: “Having launched our new Vacheron Constantin boutique in late 2017, alongside the total transformation of Harrods Fine Watches department, we are thrilled to continue this partnership now with the launch of the beautiful Watchmaking Emotions exhibition.

“We were inspired by the spirit of this exhibition and are delighted to bring it to life at Harrods this summer. We always strive to offer our clients something new and exciting to discover each time they visit our Knightsbridge home, and see this as the perfect story to tell this summer, celebrating the individual interpretations of love and excitement, unique to each country, a selection of which are on display here.”

She added: “This exhibition also perfectly heroes the launch of two new Traditionnelle watches, exclusive to Harrods, which we have been delighted to partner with Vacheron Constantin to create. We truly hope that our clients will delight in exploring this exhibition and uncovering the new creations as much as we have.”

Collectors and connoisseurs will have the chance to discover the exhibition in the Fine Watch Room at Harrods until September 12.
