Vacheron Constantin has exposed the inner workings of its Calibre 2460 QCL/2 for a new pair of Traditionnelle complete calendar openface watches.
Weekdays and months of the year are displayed on clear disks that are visible behind tinted sapphire until they reach small white backdrop plinths that highlight the text.
Days of the month are shown on a track at the perimeter of the dial, and are pointed at by a central hand.
A moon phase disc at 6 o’clock has two realistic depictions of Earth that appear from behind a translucent sapphire mask.
There are two 41mm models, one in 18ct white gold, the other in pink gold.
The automatic 2460 QCL/2 movement, with its golden rotor carrying the Maltese Cross, is on display from underneath as well as from the dial side.
