British auctioneer John Pye has opened an online store for luxury watches.
The site, under the John Pye Luxury brand, currently has 388 timepieces on sale that can be instantly bought and paid for online for a published price.
The most expensive watches advertised today are a £75,000 olive green Patek Philippe Aquanaut and a green dialled Rolex Daytona in yellow gold priced at £69,500.
There are 21 Rolex watches on sale today, 12 Tudors (including an Ed Sheeran special edition Black Bay priced at £15,000) and four from Patek Philippe.

The Ed Sheeran watch was created by Tudor to mark the singer’s Divide tour, and was reportedly given to 80 members of the crew.
Roadies are an unsentimental bunch, and a number of the watches have appeared for sale online, in one case advertised at $50,000 by Delray Watches.
TAG Heuer Monaco Limited Edition
John Pye Luxury is also advertising an unworn TAG Heuer Monaco limited edition in ivy green for £8,750. The watch sold out within 24 hours when it launched earlier this year for £5,000.
“We’ve held luxury auctions for many years, but we wanted to offer our customers a direct buying experience to make shopping even easier. Our aim is to reach a wider target market, as well as provide our existing customers with an even larger range of luxury assets and jewellery at the click of a button,” says Adam Pye, managing director at John Pye Auctions.
Paul Hird, head of the John Pye Luxury Shop, adds: “Opening an online space for luxury assets is a very exciting opportunity for John Pye. Many shoppers are continuing to make purchases from the comfort of their own home, so they can now directly shop for unique and bespoke items all in one place. Whether your priority is the speed and ease of shopping or snagging a deal at auction, with both our direct shopping and auction offerings, we’re able to offer something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming new customers to our existing database, with the potential to sell luxury items through the shop.”
